Retro Cocktail Menu

These boots were made for walking (well OK, driving) to Bittersweet! Retro is back! Retro is cool!
Don’t even say that you don’t love all the ‘fancy’ hors d’oeuvres that your Mom made when you were a kid for her ‘grown-ups only’ parties.

Deviled Eggs
Spinach Dip
Pigs in a Blanket
Swedish Meatballs
Tea Cookies

Kind of wow, kind of NOW!

Our “Culinary Vacations” WINNER!!!

Bittersweet would like to congratulate Ann Squire on submitting her favorite culinary vacations!

“Loved your story about food trips. I can relate; whenever we visit relatives in northern Wisconsin, our very first stop is "Jacob's Butcher Market" to stock up on homemade bratwurst. Our first and last meals there, and several in between, are always cookout brats. And ALWAYS cooked over an open charcoal grill — not a Weber, and definitely not a gas grill! Not that we're fanatics, but we've been known to hold umbrellas over the grill and shovel snow to make a level grilling spot. And part of the tradition is always to find a new local non-grape wine. Last month it was blackberry wine from the Door County Winery, and a nice lemon wine from Kerrigan Brothers.”

Thank you for the great story, Ann!

Check out the New House!

Our leader, Jody Manor returned from his Sri Lankan adventures with news of hope, exciting recipe ideas and photos of the new home that he and other Habitat team members helped to build. As you can see, Jody’s visit had quite an impact on those who survived the tsunami and are rebuilding their lives. Thanks to all who donated funds to support the Habitat for Humanity Team.
