BIKE THE HERITAGE TRAIL
Learn about Alexandria’s history during with a 15-mile ride led by the city’s archaeologist. Meet at 10 am at the George Washington Masonic National Memorial parking lot. FALL HARVEST FAMILY DAYS
Mount Vernon’s popular harvest celebration moves to its Gristmill, on State Route 235 near Route 1, with outdoor cooking, flax-to-linen demonstrations, colonial music, and a bake sale. See the mill in action, make a corn husk doll and assist the candle maker. 10 am - 5 pm. Free!
