Answering those burning questions frequently asked
Can you freeze cupcakes?
You bet! Nothing is worse than goodies going to waste - and with deals like our Bake Sale - you might as well stock up.
The best way of going about freezing anything is to first remove it from its original packaging. Place the cupcakes in a clean, dry food storage container that tightly seals when closed. This will help prevent freezer burn and dryness from occurring. Frosted cupcakes can be frozen up to two weeks without causing changes in flavor.
When thawing there are a few tips to keep in mind. First, remove the cupcakes from their container before thawing - condensation is not your friend and doesn't taste too good either. If you're not consuming right away place the cupcakes either in the refrigerator to thaw or sit them at room temperature for faster results -remember to avoid direct heat and/or sunlight. Different cupcakes require different thawing times so this part is experimental but we have done some experimenting on our side for you:
