As we gratefully enter our 27th year, we wonder just how literally to take the saying "out with the old and in with the new". Emerging from a 'trying' 2009, we enter the new year with optimism and some great new ideas. Team Bittersweet is constantly innovating and on the lookout for the latest. Fortunately, we have enough years of staff experience to know what items are our hallmarks - freshly prepared great food, community involvement, kind café staff and knowledgeable catering reps. We think these are a winning combination.

Thank you to all of our kind hearted café customers who participated in this December promotion. For every food item or toiletry donated, Bittersweet rewarded you with a mini cupcake on the house. In just one week, we collected over 100 items to be distributed to the area needy by the Capital Area Foodbank. Our own Miss Alice, Rachael and Jeffrey did the drop off - never was giving so sweet!

New changes to the Cupcake of the Month program! Due to overwhelming (yes) demand we will continue with the $1.00 lunch upgrade as the Baker's Choice Assortment for all of 2010. For those of you new to us, you may upgrade the normal cookie and bar dessert tray to an assorted cupcake tray on any cold lunch package for only $1.00 per person. That's a 65% savings! For those of you who like a 'deal', this is it!

We decided to have a holiday breakfast and went on the internet and found Bittersweet. It was a great experience, the food was wonderful, it was ready when we went to pick it up. We will definitely do it again!
