Love, Dogs and Charity |
February may be the shortest month of the year, but it is chock full of holidays - Groundhog's Day, Valentine's Day, Mardi Gras, Lincoln and Washington's Birthdays AND National Carrot Cake Day (February 3rd) To top it all off, we've gone doggone crazy and added Doggie Cupcakes to our Menu. Loaded with healthy stuff like wheat germ, peanut butter, oatmeal and milk, these treats are even capped off with a crunchy dog bone. Bakery tested and doggie approved! Why not show your pet how much you love them this Valentine's Day? Dig it!

Seeing Red? Think Pink!
Treats are in at Bittersweet! While red may symbolize passion and desire, the color pink represents love. Pink is the sweetest of all the colors and is said to make us crave sugar. It also has a calming effect and reduces the heart rate (and anger!). What better way to show your love to someone than to pick up a gift from Bittersweet? Here are only a few of our great gift ideas.

Haitian Relief
We've all seen the pictures and wondered what we can do. Our idea was to work with the Alexandria Red Cross and UNICEF to raise funds with our Chocolate Cupquakes. NewsChannel 8 Washington Business Tonight picked up our idea and interviewed our owner on how other small businesses could help. We hope that others were inspired by the generosity of our customers! Together we've donated over $1K so far...
