Time to Celebrate! |
Wow - another year, our 26th, is about to pass. As for many of you, it was one of the toughest we've experienced. But we persevered, looked hard inside and found ways to improve. The feedback we received from many of you really helped to make that happen.
We'd like to thank all of you, our fantastic customers who stayed loyal (and
local) this year and a special shout out to the many new customers who
joined our family. And, a big thank you to our crew, particularly our long
term ones: Angel - 22 years, Jose - 17 and Digna - 15. Without their
loyalty we wouldn't be the company we are today. In this day and age, I
think it says something about our business.
Happy Holidays and let's all work together to make 2010 a kinder, more
prosperous and civil year. And, look out for a new Bittersweet coming soon!

This year Bittersweet would like to give you a gift if you can help us give a gift to the community. For the next week (December 14-20) we'll be
sponsoring a food drive in which for each non-perishable food good you donate we'll give you a FREE mini cupcake, up to a maximum of six. In turn
the items will be given to the Capital Area Food Bank to help provide nutritious meals to families who need assistance. For a list of the Food

Chocolate and peppermint - the perfect marriage. So
this was an obvious choice as our Cupcake of the

Due to popular demand, Bittersweet Café has now extended its hours, so
that you can grab something to take home, or have a warm comfy place to
have a latte and use our free wifi. We've even added a brand spankin'
new menu including hot sandwiches and
healthy, made to order noodle soups! And, don't forget all bakery items are
50% off for the last hour until closing!

Client of the Month
I just moved to Alexandria and my girlfriend asked for a cake from Bittersweet for
her birthday. I found the address in the YellowPages and made my way down. The
service was exactly what I needed. I had sort of a blank look on my face when I
came in, so a young lady asked what I needed and assisted me with my order. It
felt great to see customer service again. It really did. No attitudes, no
aggravation. Even though my order was a small cake, I was treated like I bought
half the store. Thank you. Oh, the cake was awesome - it met its demise in less
than 20 minutes, but the convo lasted all weekend.
